The endo belly. We’ve all been there. Your stomach goes from flat to bloated at the most inopportune time. Maybe you ate something that didn’t agree with you and you’re regretting that decision now.

I know I’ve been there, which is why I’ve gathered the following five remedies to help you naturally reduce bloating and endo belly.

#1. Fennel Tea

Fennel tea has saved me on many an endo belly occasion. It helps your body release gas & stimulates bile to digest your food.

It has a licorice type flavor, but it’s mild and earthy. I admit, it’s not my favorite to drink casually, but I’m grateful that I have it when the bloating hits.

Here’s what I drink.

#2. Peppermint Tea

Peppermint tea can help alleviate problems like bloating and gas. It calms cramps and spasms in your gastrointestinal tract, bile duct and gallbladder. It also stimulates your gallbladder to release bile to break down your food.

Here’s what I drink.

#3. Digestive Enzymes

Digestive enzymes assist your body in breaking down fats, proteins and carbohydrates. You can buy digestive enzymes on their own, or take them in blend.

  • Bromelain helps you to digest protein and reduces inflammation.
  • Amlyase helps to break down carbohydrates.
  • Lipase helps breaks down fat.
  • Serrapeptase aids in the removal of scar tissue and cysts from your body.

I take a digestive enzyme blend called Vitalzym which has all of the above & more.

#4. Celery Juice

Fresh organic celery juice is one of the most powerful and healing juices for your digestive tract. It helps rebuild your stomach’s supply of hydrochloric acid and strengthens your digestive system. (I first learned about this from the book Medical Medium.)

If you have low stomach acid, you’ll feel bloated or gassy after eating, especially after heavier animal proteins, and you could see undigested food in your stool.

To add in the magic of this natural remedy, all you have to do is juice one bunch of celery in the morning on an empty stomach. Keep the juice to only celery. Don’t add anything else. (Since conventionally grown celery is doused in pesticides, it’s a good idea to use organic celery.)

Celery helps cleanse your kidneys and liver, so this may cause a detox reaction at first. Beware of that.

#5. Chew! Chew! Chew!

Your digestive process starts in your mouth, as your food mixes with your saliva. When you chew your food you send a message to your brain to send a message to your stomach to let it know that food’s on the way. This signal stimulates the release of stomach acid.

So, remember to chew your food! This is something I must consistently be conscious of. Slow down when you eat! If you inhale it and fail to chew it, then it’s more likely to go down undigested, especially if your stomach acid is already low.

Also, refrain from eating when you’re feeling stressed or rushed since adrenaline reduces stomach acid.

On the Positive Side?

These five ways of naturally reducing bloating and endo belly have helped me to feel better and I hope they do the same for you.

Do you have any other suggestions that have worked for you? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.

Much LOVE,
