With endometriosis your body goes through so much. The internal stress wears you down and makes your energy levels low. I know this all too well.

Chronic fatigue is a common companion with endo, but it doesn’t have to be.

It’s possible to naturally increase your energy levels through your food choices, and over time, re-build your energy levels from the inside out.

This can be done by addressing three major components in your body: your adrenal glands, liver and digestive tract.

Support Your Adrenal Glands

Your adrenals are two small glands that sit atop your kidneys. They produce your stress hormones: cortisol and adrenaline as well as the precursor hormones for your other sex hormones.

Your adrenal glands release stress hormones during times of stress. If they have to do this too much then your adrenals get worn down and produce less hormones.

When your adrenals are tired every system in your body is impacted, and as are result, your energy levels drop. You become chronically fatigued.

To help support your adrenal glands, it’s important to find ways to manage stress and make self care a part of your day.

You can’t always control all the stress that happens to you, but you can control how you respond to it. Remember your breath. Deep breathing immediately calms your nervous system and changes the stress response.

Another way you can support your adrenals is through blood sugar balance. Keeping your blood sugar balanced puts less stress on your adrenal glands.

Love Up Your Liver

Your liver is your body’s energy powerhouse! It provides many vital functions, including providing your body with long term energy.

Your liver gets bogged down with toxins and stress. It has to work more when you fill your body with greasy fried foods, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals.

You can support your liver with your food choices and with attention to what you’re putting on your skin. Your skin absorbs everything!

Keep Your Digestion Strong

Your digestive tract is where your body absorbs vitamins and minerals from your food. It’s also where nearly 80% of your immune system is.

A strong digestion comes with many benefits including increased energy and immune function to handle the impacts of endometriosis.

Food plays a role with the health of your digestive tract. Consuming adequate amounts of fiber from fruits & veggies is a great start.

Are you getting these in with each meal?

On the Positive Side?

When you support your adrenals, liver and digestive tract then over time your energy levels will increase and stay more steady during the day. I know this, because I’ve experienced it first hand.

I’ve used food to support these vital systems so that now I have longer sustained energy. I’d love for you to feel the same!
